Ask which component the claim covers
A plant-fiber upper, paper band or other named material does not describe every component in a slipper. Review the lining, footbed, paperboard, outsole and packaging separately. ESLP019 includes an EPE sole; do not treat its material-focused collection label as a whole-product plastic-free claim.
Match evidence to the quoted product
Ask which product, component, test method and document the statement applies to. Check that the document describes the proposed construction rather than a different item or a general company capability.
Agree the wording before using it
Confirm composition and supporting evidence before making percentage, biodegradability, certification or performance statements in your own product materials. Request product-specific documents together with the quotation and sample.
